A summer to celebrate
We’re in a celebratory mood here at IMEX HQ. And there is much to celebrate – from trail run PBs, to our joyful return to Frankfurt, to a rather special award win. We’re also celebrating the return of the summer festival season as we make up for the years of cancelled plans with packed summer schedules filled with community get-togethers, long weekends away and spirit-lifting fun.

Coming together with our wonderful business events community in Frankfurt was a long-awaited, years-in-the-making occasion. It’s been hard to define just how good it felt to be back, to reconnect in person on that now legendary IMEX red carpet - but our team give it their best shot as they celebrate the return of the irrepressible IMEX buzz.

Our Brighton Trail Weekend runners
Last weekend saw this trio of intrepid IMEX trail runners race over rolling hills, along chalky paths and through sheep-filled fields to take on the inaugural Brighton Trail Weekend – set in the stunning South Downs National Park surrounding our home city. Their verdict? “A brilliant event, almost as good as an IMEXrun!” High praise indeed…

A heady summer of life-affirming events awaits with the much-anticipated return of the full UK summer festival season – kicked off by Glastonbury last weekend. A summer of fresh-air, of heading off the beaten track, of getting back to nature, of celebrating creativity, of hands-in-the-air dancing, of long weekends in gorgeous countryside, of joyful shared experiences. Our AEO Excellence Award
If the IMEX team are looking more than a little delighted, it’s with very good reason. Last Friday we won Best International Show – Americas for IMEX America 2021 at the 2022 AEO Excellence Awards. On the night our elated CEO Carina Bauer said “To win for our first IMEX after three cancellations and for a show that the team truly poured their hearts and souls into - made today even more meaningful. If ever there was a show we wanted to win an award for, it was this one.”
