While you’re in Las Vegas for IMEX America, why don’t you use your evenings to explore what the city has to offer right on your doorstep? With so much to see and do, we want to help you make the most of your time with our top recommendations…
Hotels to visit in Fabulous Las Vegas
A walk along the strip is an experience in itself, with dazzling neon lights, the Bellagio fountain’s hourly display, and even a fire-shooting volcano at The Mirage. Vegas is well known for its themed hotels, allowing you to see the world all in one place (although, not quite on the scale of the IMEX show floor!). For surreal experiences, explore The Venetian complete with canals, Paris Las Vegas with its own Eiffel Tower, or roller coaster between the sky scrapers of the New York, New York hotel.
Try new things on the strip
Now, distances between these hotels are deceptively big, so make sure you’ve got comfortable shoes on! If not, why not try a new mode of transport? The Las Vegas Strip is one of the few places in the world that you can experience autonomous driving. You can hail the driverless cars like you would a normal taxi!
Virtual reality experiences
For another preview of the future of technology, check out Virtual Reality at the MGM Grand. If you’ve ever tried on a VR headset to experience a newly designed conference hall or luxury destination, you’ve only had a taste of what virtual reality can do. Team up with eight friends to enjoy the latest in video game technology. But beware, your 30-minute experience may keep you coming back for more!
Art and culture
Las Vegas may not have a reputation for being a cultural hub, but this is undeserved. You can get a glimpse of it in the Bellagio’s Gallery of Fine Art. Having hosted exhibitions featuring Picasso, Warhol and Van Gough, this small gallery offers respite from the hustle and bustle of the strip.
Experience Las Vegas’s famous buffets and bars
The strip is home to some of the best buffet restaurants in the world, serving culinary delights from sushi to tapas to tacos. The Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars Palace, The Buffet at Wynn and Wicked Spoon at The Cosmopolitan are the top recommended spots.
The strip is home to plenty of bars, but some really stand out from the rest, with rooftop views, stunning décor or quirky features. How often do you get the chance to sit inside a chandelier? The Chandelier at the Cosmopolitan is exactly that, a bar housed within three-storey’s worth of crystal curtains. If your tastes are a bit subtler, try Rosina in The Venetian. It’s an intimate cocktail bar with a fun “champagne call button”.
Shows in Las Vegas
Relax with a spellbinding show. Cirque du Soleil have multiple shows performed every night in Las Vegas. The hardest choice is deciding which one! For music fans The Beatles LOVE and Michael Jackson ONE are amazing tributes to musical legends. Or for those looking to be blown away by gravity defying acts, look no further than O or Mystère.
